As we have been sheltering in place, we have been seeking connections via video conferencing technology such as Zoom, Skype and FaceTime to keep in touch with friends and family, to take classes or attend spiritual gatherings. With this new way of communicating there have also been many concerns raised by security consultants and spread widely by news outlets.

How to Troubleshoot Your Mac
Everyone's computer acts up from time to time; if they didn't, we'd be out of a job! But between doing preventative maintenance on your computer and doing some simple troubleshooting, you can stay ahead of many major problems. These tips won't prevent every problem, but they can help to take care of some simple issues.
Privacy and Your iPhone
Many of you may have seen the recent New York Times article addressing cell phone location privacy, "Twelve Million Phones, One Dataset, Zero Privacy" by Charlie Warzel and Stuart A. Thompson. The article has helped to crystallize the new reality of cell phone location tracking, and as a result, has garnered a huge amount of attention. Most of us have been aware of the fact that our cell phones use our locations to provide us with a myriad of services, from directions to dinner with friends, to being able to check movie showtimes in our area. The flip side of these conveniences is that we agree to give up a bit of our privacy to the app developers upon whose creations we rely.
All About Your Apple ID
We get more frequent questions about Apple IDs than almost anything else, so if you're not clear on what the Apple ID is, you are in good company! Your Apple ID is a username that identifies you to Apple (and all of their devices and services you use), and it is typically your email address. You will also have a password associated with your ID that is distinct to your Apple ID, and not the same as the password you use to log in to your email address (except in very rare cases).
It's Time to Upgrade to iOS 13 for iPhones and iPads
iOS 13.3 for iPhone: We are now giving iOS 13 on iPhones a cautious green light for iPhone 7 and newer. I say cautious because some of the earliest adopters experienced a fair number of bugs. However, John, Sarah and I are not having any issues, and Apple has released several patches already. We all have newer iPhones, and that could be why we are faring better than some others.
